Moldova Opens Market to CE-Marked Electronics under New Regulatory Amendment
A major regulatory change in the Republic of Moldova has officially taken effect, streamlining market access for international hardware manufacturers.
Effective February 28, 2026, an amendment to Moldova's Law 235/2011 allows radio, electrical, and electronic equipment bearing the CE Mark and an EU Declaration of Conformity (DoC) to enter the market without additional local testing. This policy, officially approved on August 28, 2025, recognizes conformity assessments conducted by EU-notified bodies.
National Moldova DoC in Romanian language is mandatory for market access.
Moldova's National Agency for Regulation in Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) officially rebranded to the National Agency for Regulation in Communications (ARCOM) on January 1, 2026. While the name has changed, the agency maintains its original regulatory oversight of electronic communications, telecommunications equipment, and postal services with no immediate impact on existing procedures or certification requirements.
