Azerbaijan Released Draft RoHS Regulation for Electrical and Electronic Products

Azerbaijan released a draft RoHS Technical Regulation on the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Radioelectronic products. Public consultation was opened on April 14, 2026.

The draft Regulation proposed restrictions on hazardous substances, including lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, PBB, and PBDE, covering a range of electrical and electronic products, including telecommunications and radio equipment.

The draft also specifies compliance duties and conformity assessment frameworks for both manufacturers and importers.

At the time of publication, the technical regulation remained under development and had not been confirmed as officially adopted or entered into force by the Azerbaijani authorities. It has been submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers for approval.
