Belarus suspended mandatory Energy Efficiency requirements
On December 29, 2022 Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus № 916 dated 27.12.2022 «On suspension of the norms of the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated October 21, 2016 No. 849» came into force.
According to this Resolution № 916 Belarus mandatory Energy Efficiency requirements (clause 3 of Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus No. 849 dated October 21, 2016) are suspended from January 01, 2023. The Resolution № 849 has been suspended for an indefinite period and is valid until a special decision of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus (probably until the moment when the EAEU Energy Efficiency technical regulation (EAEU TR 048/2019) comes into force). We will keep you updated.
As a result, from January 01, 2023 products to be imported to the Belarus market should comply only with the requirements of the Eurasian Economic Union Technical Regulation (EAEU) and Belarus national regulation for Radio/Telecom requirements.
The Resolution № 916 dated 27.12.2022 is valid from December 29, 2022.
