Kazakhstan Amends Frequency Band Allocation Table
Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan has amended the Frequency Band Allocation Table on August 13, 2024, featuring changes to the following frequency bands:
2170-2520 MHz
4800-5250 MHz
5250-5570 MHz
5570-6700 MHz
5925-7125 MHz
10-10.7 GHz
6 GHz now is opened in Kazakhstan that is step to digital innovation and faster and more reliable internet.
It means that it is now allowed to use Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 in Kazakhstan. Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 are new versions of Wi-Fi that provide an even faster and more stable internet connection. Regular Wi-Fi operates in two frequencies – 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. But with Wi-Fi 6E, another frequency is added – 6 GHz.
Kazakhstan regulator has decided to split 6 GHz range: half will be used for 5G, and half for Wi-Fi.
