The national system of digital labeling and product traceability "Asl belgisi" in Uzbekistan continues to actively develop, introducing new strict rules for manufacturers and importers

The application of digital identifiers to imported products must be carried out BEFORE the goods enter the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
📋 Current Lists: What is Subject to Labeling and What is Exempt?
Labeling is MANDATORY for the following categories:
- Major domestic appliances: refrigerators, freezers, washing machines, gas stoves.
- Climate control systems: central heating boilers, water heaters, domestic and industrial air conditioners.
- Consumer electronics: TVs, monitors, vacuum cleaners, juicers, mixers.
- Lighting and components (new groups): LED modules, sealed turn signal lights, electronic lamps and tubes.
Completely EXEMPT from the labeling system (9 categories):
- Smartphones and phones, dishwashers, radio receivers, electronic scales, electric shavers, microphones and audio recording equipment.
⚙️ Code Application Procedures and System Processing Speed
The process of obtaining digital identification codes is regulated and automated:
- Application submission: The manufacturer or importer sends an electronic request to the operator via the information system (BBS).
- Generation within 4 hours: If the data complies with the requirements, the operator is obliged to generate unique QR Data Matrix codes and provide the list to the applicant.
- Placement rules: Project participants independently choose the equipment and location for fixing the code (modifying the label design).
🛑 Automatic Sales Blocking from March 1, 2026
Starting March 1, 2026, a fundamentally new procedure for the retail sale of labeled goods entered into force in Uzbekistan.
The system completely eliminates the human factor: if a product's standard shelf life (or operating lifetime recorded in the system) has expired, the "Asl belgisi" platform automatically blocks its sale. The retail outlet's online system technically prevents the cashier from printing a receipt for this product.
